1. Who we are
The Convince is published by OWLBIT LTD. For privacy questions, write to zai@97.team or call +90 212 909 00 97.
Correspondence: Çamtepe Mah. Mahmut Tevfik Atay Bulvarı, Gaziantep Teknopark 4/C Blok No: Z04/b, Şahinbey / Gaziantep, Türkiye.
The formal KVKK/GDPR disclosure is the Information Notice.
2. What we collect
You can run a session as a guest. If you sign in (including Sign in with Apple), we also keep the account data listed in section 8. During a session the product processes:
- Camera frames of the face, to estimate pulse from the face, expressions, blinks, and gaze.
- Microphone audio, to follow pitch, tension in the voice, pauses, and what you said.
- Session metrics derived from that camera and audio (for example pulse, expression scores, and a written summary of your answers).
- Account data if you sign in: Sign in with Apple user identifier (or other login identifier), and optional name/email Apple shares with us.
- Technical logs such as crash or connection errors, used only to keep the product working.
We do not build an advertising profile. We do not sell personal data.
3. Why we use it
We process this information to run the product you asked for: a communication assistant for interview and presentation practice. That includes calibrating a short baseline, comparing later answers with that baseline, showing live feedback, and preparing a session summary if you generate one.
Legal bases are set out in the Information Notice. Camera and microphone access are granted only after you allow them on your device.
4. Camera and face data
This section answers how The Convince handles face data.
What we collect. Live camera frames that include the user’s face while a session is running, and short-lived derived signals computed from those frames: face landmarks, expression metrics, blink and gaze, and pulse-from-face estimates. We do not create a faceprint for login, do not use Face ID, do not recognise who you are, and do not build a photo gallery of faces.
Use. Face data is used only to run the session you start: baseline calibration, live feedback on expression, gaze and pulse-from-face, and (if you generate one) a session summary of those derived scores. It is not used for advertising, identity verification, or unlocking the device.
Storage and sharing. While a session runs, camera frames are sent to our processing host at https://convinceaiapi.97.team/ (operated for OWLBIT LTD) so pulse, face movement, gaze, and expression can be measured. Connections are encrypted. Camera images and face video are not stored, and we do not send camera images, face video, or audio recordings to Google, to Gemini, or to any other generative AI provider. Numeric measurements derived from the face (heart rate, heart-rate variability, blink rate, gaze aversion, whether a micro-expression was seen, and facial asymmetry) may be sent to Google with the answer text, as listed in section 7, and only after you allow it. We do not sell face data. We do not create a lasting face database.
Retention and deletion. Camera images and audio recordings are not stored. The session report (name, questions, answer text, measurements, and result) is kept on the processing host until you delete it from the Profile tab. If you export a report to your own device, that file is yours to delete. If you delete your account (section 8), we delete the account record we hold.
5. Microphone and voice
Audio is used to measure how you sound and, when speech-to-text is on, to turn answers into text so the assistant can check consistency. Voice is not used to verify who you are.
6. Where analysis runs
Your device captures camera and microphone. Heavier analysis runs on a separate processing host operated for The Convince. That host is not this privacy site. At the time this policy was written, processing is provided at https://convinceaiapi.97.team/.
Traffic to that service uses encrypted connections. Camera images and audio recordings are not stored on that host. The session report (name, questions, answer text, measurements, and result) stays there until you delete it from the Profile tab. Short-lived technical logs may be kept to debug failures.
If you export a report to your device, that file lives where you save it. We cannot delete a copy that only you hold.
7. Other services and third-party AI
Nothing from a session is sent anywhere until you allow it on the in-app screen. If you choose Don’t allow, the session does not start, and nothing is sent to our processing host or to Google.
When you allow a session, two recipients receive data:
Our processing host (convinceaiapi.97.team, operated for OWLBIT LTD). While the session runs it receives the camera image and microphone recording of the person being analysed, the name you enter, the questions, and your notes (your hunch and whether you believed each answer). Pulse, face movements, gaze, and voice features are measured there, and spoken answers are turned into text. Camera images and audio recordings are not stored.
Google, via the Google Gemini API. Each time you ask a question of your own, the processing host sends the following to Google so it can comment on how consistent the answer is:
- the text of your question and of the answer, and the text of the five warm-up questions and answers;
- the numbers measured for that answer: heart rate, heart-rate variability, blink rate, gaze aversion, whether a micro-expression was seen, facial asymmetry, pitch, voice tremor and quality, pause ratio, and speech rate;
- your hunch and whether you believed the answer.
We do not send camera images, face video, audio recordings, or the name you type to Google. Warm-up answers may still contain personal details, such as a name or date of birth. Google processes this data under its own terms for API customers. The purpose is this session’s assessment and report.
The permission box is unchecked until you tick it. The label states that you agree to this processing, including sending the data listed above to Google (Gemini API), and that the person being analysed has been informed and agrees too.
We also use infrastructure vendors for hosting, transport, and crash diagnostics. They see only what they need to provide that service, under contract.
8. Accounts and deletion
Signing in is optional. If you use Sign in with Apple (or another login we offer), we store the account identifier Apple (or that provider) gives us, and any name or email they share with your consent, so we can recognise you on later visits.
You can delete your account from inside the product (Settings → Delete account, or the equivalent control). Deletion is permanent: we delete the account record we hold. Temporary session buffers are already discarded when a session ends. Files you exported to your own device are not under our control; you delete those yourself. Sign in with Apple can also be revoked in iOS Settings → Apple Account → Sign in with Apple.
9. How long we keep it
- Camera images and audio recordings: not stored. Used only while the session runs.
- Session report (name, questions, answer text, measurements, and result): on the processing host until you delete it from the Profile tab.
- Account records (if you signed in): until you delete the account, or we close the product.
- Support emails you send us: up to 24 months, then deleted unless a legal hold applies.
- Security and crash logs: up to 90 days.
10. Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your camera, voice, or session scores. We share data only:
- with our processing host, to run the session;
- with Google (Gemini API), only after you allow it, and only the answer text, warm-up text, measured numbers, and your notes listed in section 7 — not camera images, face video, audio, or the name you type;
- with infrastructure vendors for hosting, transport, and crash diagnostics;
- if the law requires it;
- to professional advisers in a genuine legal dispute.
The platform you installed from may receive anonymous diagnostic data if you opted into sharing diagnostics with developers.
11. Your rights
Your KVKK and GDPR rights, and how to use them, are in the Information Notice. Send requests to zai@97.team. You can withdraw camera and microphone permission in your device settings.
12. Children
The Convince is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child used the app, email us and we will delete what we can identify.
13. These web pages
